In the Junior School children learn the all-important skills of reading, writing and mathematics in small, friendly classes. The basic curriculum is extended to include Science and Technology. This ensures that problem-solving is encountered from an early age. Pupils also study art, music, drama and physical education and French is taught from the age of eight.
As children progress through the Junior School, subjects are taught increasingly by specialists, although the form teacher continues to play a major role in the lives of the pupils.
In the Senior School, every girl follows a course leading to GCSE in a range of fourteen subjects. Information Technology is taught throughout the school. Instrumental lessons, Judo and riding are available as fee-paying extras. There are Senior and Junior Choirs and Orchestras and dramatic and musical productions are an important feature of school life.
The school has extensive on-site sports facilities. In the winter, hockey and netball are played; the summer sports are tennis, rounders and swimming in the School's solar-heated pool.
Girls are introduced gradually to the challenge of outdoor activities. This culminates in voluntary participation in the Duke of Edinburgh's Award Scheme.
School transport operates within a 20 mile radius of the school - from Henley, Reading and Wallingford and the villages in between.
